The menus on the main menu are not specific to the panes, nor are they dynamic (excepting the &Documents menu). They appear at the top of the program, they may not be moved, and they do not change either position or contents (though command options on the menus are enabled/disabled as available within the current context).
The main menu in the program contains seven menus options: iFile, iEdit, iTools, Layout, Documents, Panes, and iHelp.
Context Menus
Throughout the program, context menus (a menu that appears when right-clicking on an item) are available. There is no single rule governing when a context menu is available. Consequently, there is no simple way to provide documentation for all of them. The user is reminded that they exist, and that at any time it is probably worth trying a right click, bearing in mind that that action can really only do one of two things: open a context menu, or nothing.
