Project-Related Keyboard Commands

The table below summarizes the keystroke commands available in PFC for project- and item-related commands. If an ellipsis (…) appears after the command label, it indicates that a dialog will appear when the command is used. All of these commands are global. They are accessible from any pane in PFC, not just the Project pane.


Table 1: Project-Related Key Commands
Keystroke Command Description/Comment
Ctrl + O Open Item… Open an existing project item (call the Open Item… dialog).
Ctrl + Shift + S Save All Items… Save all open project items (note that this does not save project items that are not currently open in PFC).
Ctrl + S Save [item name] Save the item in the currently active pane.
Ctrl + Alt + S Save [item name] As… Save a copy of the item in the currently active window/pane to a new file.
Ctrl + W Close [item name] Close the item in the currently active window/pane.
Ctrl + P Print [item name]… Print the item in the currently active window/pane.
Ctrl + 3 Display the Project pane Show and/or activate the Project pane; this command is available on the Panes menu. It will not hide the pane; use the Hide button ( hide ) in the pane’s title bar to hide it.
